If I could express in words what I am trying to achieve through my paintings I would have to refer to the descriptions found in the ancient Vedic texts of the Brahma Samhita.
It describes the transcendental or spiritual realm as having similar elements as are found in this and other material worlds. But the known material universe provides only a dim reflection of the purity and beauty of the spiritual realm,.
Everything there is eternal, full of bliss and knowledge, not only the people but this description includes the land, animals, trees and creepers, mountains, forests, rivers etc.
Every tree is called a kalpavriksha which means they fulfill all desires, they provide whatever you wish for. The land is covered in luminous gems, all water tastes like nectar, every word is a
song, everyone dances instead of walks, the hills are literally alive with the sound of sweet music ....
Brahma's prayers reveal that this transcendental realm is known "only to a very few self-realized souls in this world" but it can be realized by anyone who takes to the practice of Bhakti-yoga. Bhakti yoga is the yoga (to yoke up, or link up with) of devotion to the First Progenitor, the Supreme Being, the Cause of All Causes. All of this is described in Brahma Samhita, Puranas, Chaitanya Charitamrta, Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic literatures.
I derive my inspiration from these books to try and bring this magical and eternally beautiful dimension into our lives.
